ANOTHER ATTACK ON A NIQAABI

Just seen in the Muslim News paper dated 28th January how a muslim woman was attacked outside a mosque in Ohio. According to the victim , the man swore at her, told her to leave the country and threatened to kill her. There doesnt seem to be a reason but Im assuming the man did not like what she was wearing! Of course its not the womans fault at all, and we should all be allowed to wear what we want but this is one of the reasons why we should scrap the niqaab. I feel its the cause of a lot of tension, espeacially since the September 11th attacks, people just dont feel safe anymore. You want to be able to see peoples faces.




I mean if somebody God forbid attacks you, the only way you will be able to identify them is by seeing thier face. The police would also be able to catch the "bad guy" much more quickly if you has some sort of idea of who it was who attacked you.


Im not saying women wearing the veil are attackers or anything, rather Im just trying to emphasise the importance of peoples faces!
As I wrote in one of my early posts, the veil is not even obligatory. The covering of the hair is really important to most muslims and if thats the case then fine they can wear that.

    You can't say the veil is not obligatory. Its a matter of difference between Muslims. Are you saying you will only defend the rights of Muslims if they agree with your understanding of the shari'a?

    If someone was attacked for skin colour would you advise them to change their skin colour? The fault lies with the islamophobes, not the veil wearers...

    As for your question: well i'd feel happier talking to the veil wearer as the other one is a dummy!

    Im not saying the veil is obligatory or not, my focus in this post is the safety of women. Im actually defending women who wear the veil by suggesting that perhaps if they removed it, then they would not get attacked such a manner would they?
